Report to the building management and/or the person responsible for escalator maintenance that the maintenance will be carried out.
Consult with the building management and/or the person responsible regarding any malfunctions (if any) of the escalator in the recent period (monthly, quarterly... depending on the frequency of use).
Ensure that when maintenance personnel temporarily suspend the operation of the escalator to work in the operation room (safety measures; barriers and/or escalator stop signs must be placed before the entrances).
Check the inspection validity period of the escalator. If it has expired, notify the management unit.
